Athletic Facilities Update

It has been great seeing so many students and families making use of the school’s available facilities.  While we are happy to make these facilities available, it is important to remember COVID 19 does exist in Yangon.  Therefore, it is very important that all of the safety rules around the facility use are followed.

Please be sure to wear a mask at all times while on campus (except when in the pool).  In addition, please make sure to register for available spaces before coming to campus as security has been asked not to permit anyone on campus who is not registered.  It is very important we maintain the appropriate group sizes.

Finally, please remember close contact sports are not permitted at this time, and groupings should not be any larger than six.

Thank you for your ongoing support for the safety of our ISY community during this time.

Sports-A-Thon Update

The Sports-a-thon will take place this Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 am.  Members of the community have been recording challenges and sending videos during the week.  Some of these videos can be seen on flipgrid and some on our Facebook page and more will come in afterwards.

The actual event itself will take place on Zoom. There will be breakout rooms for lots of activities like juggling, basketball, chinlone, Go Noodle (dancing to videos) to name a few.  The complete list, with some tips for the day, can be read on this document.  If you have an idea for an activity that other people can also do we can set up a new breakout room during the day.  You can join a breakout room to take part or just to watch and cheer on.

The important thing is to have fun while raising awareness and funds for the United World Schools project.  Videos on how to upload to flipgrid and donate online can be found on the Sports-a-thon blog post.

ISY Facilities Available During Winter Break

ISY will be on Winter Break from December 19 through January 10, but athletic facilities will remain available to the ISY community.
