Middle School (MS) Athletics

Traveling to International School Myanmar (ISM) proved to be a mixed bag for our basketball teams this Wednesday. The girls had a full ten player roster to pick from for this game and this was the major difference in the end with our ISY girls winning an hotly contested match. All the players contributed to a truly team effort.
ISY’s middle school boy’s team had a tougher time at ISM. Our boys played with determination and pride but unfortunately they were defeated in a close encounter.
There are no middle school games next week. This will give the coaches and players a chance to work on combinations and complete any final touches before the final tournament on the following weekend.
The middle school girls and boys basketball teams will play their final tournament of the season on Saturday, the 1st of October. Everyone is invited to come and watch and cheer for our young Chinthes.

High School (HS) Athletics

This week we hosted the ILBC international school for friendly volleyball training matches against our varsity teams. This was a great opportunity to test ourselves against an unknown opponent. The matches were played in good spirit and energy. Although these matches were just friendlies, there was a fair amount of competition involved as none of the teams wanted to give any easy points to the other. ISY chrome out victorious in both the boys and girls games!
Today, Friday, the boys and girls varsity volleyball teams travel to Yangon International School. We wish our student athletes the very best of luck and skill in these games.

The Power Soccer Academy have asked ISY to include the below message in this week’s blog.
