Next Saturday and Sunday, February 11 and 12, sees the return of the ISY Musical. This year, students from Elementary and Secondary School are performing The Wizard of Oz (see the poster below for details). A lot of time and effort has gone into preparing for this performance and we are all looking forward to seeing our ISY students on stage.
The ISY Chinthe Spirit shines through when our students are competing and performing in sports and the arts – in their compassion for each other and the hard work that they do together. So it is fitting that next week is Spirit Week (see the poster below for details).

Counselor Weekly Newsletter
Every week, Mr. A-G, our High School Conselor, provides our High School students with a weekly update. This update provides students with information about a variety of topics including college and university application processes.

As in the past, there will be lots of fun things to do including rides for the children and fun activities organized by our Student Service Learning Groups. There will also be a wide selection of food stalls and vendors who align with ISY’s strategic themes and commitment to environmental consciousness.
As you are having fun, you will learn all about our ISY students’ service learning initiatives and how you can help them be a force for positive change in the world. You will also be raising money for these service learning initiatives so they can continue their great work and our ISY community can continue to support our partner projects.
Second Hand Market – Please donate!
At the Family Fun Fair, a Second Hand Market will sell second hand clothing (all ages), books (all ages), and toys. All proceeds from the Second Hand Market will go to the ‘Chinthe Fund’ that supports our ISY Partner Projects (including Yangon Animal Shelter and Care to the Least Center Orphanage). And any items not sold will be donated to our ISY Partner Projects.
Service Learning Spotlight
The ISY Family Fun Fair is organized by our Student Councils and Service Learning Groups. In the lead up to the Fun Fair, we are spotlighting these groups to bring awareness to what they do and what they will be raising money for on the day.

SEASAC Town Hall
On Wednesday, we held our first combined Middle School and High School Town Hall meeting to send off our SEASAC Basketball, Touch Rugby, and Tennis Teams to their tournaments in Bangkok. This finished with Faculty v Students basketball and touch rugby games.
