This week, we have spent time celebrating what is important to us as a school. On Monday, we had our Service Learning awards, and on Tuesday we had our Athletics and Activities Awards. On Wednesday evening, we had an amazing celebration of Music. Yesterday, we celebrated Academic Achievement and Learning in our High School Awards Ceremony. Finally, this morning we celebrated Community with a Chinthe Communities Olympiad. It was wonderful to have next year’s Grade 6 students join us in some fun activities and it was important for us to say goodbye to those who will not be here when we come back in August.
There was a lot to celebrate. It has been a very successful year in all of areas that are important to us – inside and outside the classroom. On behalf of all of our faculty and staff, it is a privilege to work with you and your children and we sincerely thank you for your support.
To those of you not returning to ISY next year, please know that you are always welcome here. And to those who will be here in August, we look forward to another successful year full of achievement and learning.

Reminder: New School Hours for 2025–26
To meet Ministry of Education requirements and ensure that we continue to fulfill curriculum objectives, we will be adjusting our school hours for the 2025-26 school year. The new hours are:

Secondary School: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Elementary School: 8:00 AM – 3:20 PM

Kindergarten: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Chinthe Cubs: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Chinthe Expeditions 2025-2026
We are happy to announce that Chinthe Expeditions will run again next year. More details will follow in the new school year but we wanted to share with you the planned dates and locations for each grade level’s expedition:
Grade 6, 7, and 8: Chiang Mai, Thailand: January 5-10, 2026
Grade 9: Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, Vietnam: November 23-28, 2025
Grade 10: Rishikesh, India: November 26 – December 1, 2025
Grade 11: Malacca, Malaysia, November 23-28, 2025
Grade 12: Ladakh, India: May 22 – June 1, 2026: This trip is planned after the last IB Diploma exam and before graduation.
Please note that, depending on flight schedules, travel days may change but travel will be within the week the trips are currently scheduled for. Flight schedules will be confirmed early in the new school year.
We are really looking forward to another series of enjoyable and meaningful expeditions.
