How the Brain Works

Yesterday, our faculty participated in some professional development around the neuroscience of how the brain changes in young people. We also learned about how our bodies react to stress. It is important that we have an understanding of how our students’ brains work and it is very useful for parents too. Here is a link to two videos that explain the role of the ‘managing brain’ and the affect stress can have on us.

    Secondary School Art

    Grade 10 students have been working on architectural drawings inspired by the work of artist Ian Murphy. These are part of a unit of work ‘MY CITY.’
    This week, our Grade 9 students exhibited their violin sculptures and their associated sketches and commentary.
