Measure of Academic Progress(MAP)

February 21- March 3rd Students in Grades 6-9 will be taking an online adaptive assessment in the area of Reading Math and Writing during their regularly scheduled English and Math classes. The information obtained on this assessment is only one data point that will be used to better understand a student’s strengths and weaknesses.

General Information about MAP Testing:

  • MAP Schedule for each grade level
  • MAP Assesses Reading, Writing, and Math Skills.
  • MAP assessments are online adaptive assessments that provide useful data in developing a fair and accurate assessment of a student’s academic achievement and growth.
  • Teachers combine MAP assessment data with all other student data that they have collected in the classroom. This combination of data informs teacher instruction in meeting the needs of each child.
  • Students with online and/or in-person learning will be able to take part in this assessment.
  • The data obtained on the assessment will not impact reportcard grades.
  • No advance preparation is needed just a good night’s sleep.
