Nomination for Strategic Leadership – International Schools Awards!

ISY has been nominated as one of two schools to win a prestigious award from the annual International School Leader Magazine awards. The award category is ‘Strategic Leadership Initiative’.

To be nominated for the Strategic Leadership award is firstly a great honour. Regardless of whether we actually win or not it is also a testament to the fantastic work the whole school has been involved in since the Mission and Vision and the Strategic Themes were reviewed and relaunched back in April of 2018.
It is not enough to simply publish new guiding statements and themes as sometimes happens. The new guiding statements have to be lived and in our minds constantly as we go through our daily school lives. The recent focus group review that the school went through confirmed that the mission, vision and themes are in the forefront of the whole school from students, to parents and teachers.
The whole community deserves great credit for the strategic leadership initiatives that have been developed. The winners will be announced on Monday, 20th January in London and a small contingent including Dr. Hedger will be attending the event.
