Your child’s Quarter 1 Progress Report is now available on PowerSchool. The purpose of this report is to provide a summary of what has been covered in Quarter 1 and an indication of your child’s academic achievement and progress at this point in time. 

Please take the time to review this report together with your child. If you have any questions relating to your child’s reports, please email your child’s teacher(s) for clarification. If you have any questions relating to the reporting process in general, you can contact Mr. Simpson on msimpson@isyedu.org. 

Accessing PowerSchool:

• Click the following link to access PowerSchool
• Enter your username
• Enter your password. If you have forgotten your username and password contact powerschool@isyedu.org for assistance.
• Click on the login button

Accessing your child’s Quarter 1 Progress Report:

• Once you log in, you will see your child/children’s name on the left-hand side top of the screen along with the information of the student schedule. 
• Click on your child’s name 
• Click on the “Document” icon on the left side of the screen
• Student Documents box will appear on the screen
• Click on the file name “Q1 Progress Report 24-25”

If you have difficulty accessing your child’s report, please know that you can contact the Secondary School office by email (secondaryoffice@isyedu.org) for assistance.

As a reminder, Parent Teacher Conferences will be from 8:30am to 5pm on Wednesday, October 30 in the ISY Gym. These conferences will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s Quarter 1 Progress Report and general progress with their teachers. Students are encouraged to attend the conference with you. 

Please use these instructions to sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences on Powerschool. You will be able to sign up for conferences up until 1 until 3:00pm on Monday, October 28. You will then receive an email from our School Office on Tuesday, October 29 confirming your conference schedule.

MAP Data

Measures of academic progress (MAP) testing is an internationally recognized standardized assessment tool that provides teachers with data to help support student learning. MAP data shows student growth and allows our teachers to plan and implement lessons to continue challenging and growing students through rigorous units of study. 

ISY has completed our first round of MAP testing, which highlights strong growth across the school in math, reading, and language usage. As in previous years, ISY continues to perform well above the average for international schools, including those in South East Asia. An analysis of the data further indicates that students who have been at ISY over several years substantially outperform same age students on the international averages.

A detailed travel and schedule itinerary will be provided to you at parents meetings as follows: 

Grade 9 and 10 Chinthe Expedition Parent Meeting on Monday, October 28 at 5:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Grade 6, 7, and 8 Chinthe Expedition Parent Meeting on Tuesday, October 29 at 5:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room.
