🎭 Auditions for Disney’s The Little Mermaid! 🎭
We’re excited to announce auditions for this year’s school musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid! Auditions will be held on Monday, December 9, and Tuesday, December 10, in the MPR.
What to Expect:
- A fun, interactive audition where you’ll learn about the show and showcase your talents.
- Opportunities for a variety of roles, from Ariel to Sebastian, Ursula, and beyond!
- No preparation needed—just bring your enthusiasm!
This musical promises to be an unforgettable experience, but it requires dedication and teamwork. Whether you’re performing onstage or helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for everyone ready to dive into this exciting production.

🎶 Auditions for SEASAC Invitational Music Festival! 🎶
Auditions for the SEASAC Invitational Music Festival are happening soon. This exciting event, held from March 13–16, 2025, is your chance to work with professional music practitioners, perform in large ensembles, and connect with talented students from across the SEASAC community.

Audition Details:
- Dates: December 9–10, 2024

- What to Prepare: Any piece that shows off your musical skills.
If you’re auditioning for the school musical, your audition will also count for this event—no need to audition twice! Selected students will prepare their music between December and March to get ready for this incredible festival. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow as a musician and be part of something amazing!

As we step into the final week before the December break, let’s celebrate the heart and soul of our community. This semester has been filled with creativity, determination, and connection—moments on stage, on the court, and in every corner of campus that have inspired and united us.
This week is a time to savor those experiences and carry forward the pride in all we’ve achieved together. Whether it’s the final practices, performances, or moments shared with teammates and peers, let’s end the year with gratitude and joy.

ISY vs ISM: MS Boys Volleyball Recap
Final Scores:
- A Team: ISY 2 – ISM 0 (25-12, 25-18)
- B Team: ISY 3 – ISM 0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-9)
The ISY volleyball teams showcased outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the matches. Guided by their coaches, each player contributed meaningfully, both on the court and from the bench, demonstrating discipline, unity, and a commitment to improvement. Exceptional communication and relentless effort were key highlights.
Grade 8 player Maung (Luke) stood out as a shining example of growth and dedication. Starting the season as a reserve, he quickly proved his worth with solid defensive plays and game-changing serves that significantly impacted match results. The team’s consistent effort and positive attitude signal a bright future as they continue to develop their skills and chemistry.
ISY vs ILBC: MS Girls Volleyball Recap
Final Scores:
- A Team: ISY 0 – ILBC 2
- B Team: ISY 2 – ILBC 1
The A team used this final regular season match as an opportunity to experiment with different lineups, giving all players a chance to showcase their skills in varied settings. Despite the adjustments, the team played with determination and learned valuable lessons for future matches.
The B team delivered a thrilling performance, finishing their season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory. May Moe shone brightly, serving with remarkable consistency to solidify her position as ISY’s most dependable server. This match was a testament to the team’s resilience and growth, closing the season on a high note.
YAC MS Girls Volleyball: End-of-Season Tournament Recap
Final Placement: ISY – 2nd Place
The ISY girls showed incredible determination and skill at the YAC Middle School Volleyball End-of-Season Tournament. They began the day with a commanding performance, defeating YIS and ILBC in two straight sets each. These early victories set the stage for an electrifying final match against ISM.
The championship match was a thrilling see-saw battle, with both teams leaving everything on the court. ISY fought valiantly, pushing the match to a decisive third set. Despite their best efforts, ISM narrowly secured the win, taking the final set 15-11.
Momo, Zaw, Yoon, May Moe, Alvina, Queena, and Elle—rose to the occasion, delivering their best volleyball of the season. Their teamwork and resilience throughout the day were a testament to their growth and dedication this season. Congratulations to the Chinthes on a well-earned second-place finish and a fantastic season!
YAC MS Boys Volleyball: End of Season Tournament Recap
Final Placement: ISY – 2nd Place
Game Results:
The ISY boys started the tournament with two strong wins against YIS (25-12, 25-18) and ILBC (25-13, 23-18), showcasing excellent teamwork and determination. Their energy and collaboration on the court were key factors in securing these victories.
In the final match against ISM (17-25, 25-21), the team fought hard, with the first set being a close battle. While they came up short in the second set, the boys displayed remarkable resilience, learning and growing from the experience.
Every player contributed to the team’s success, exemplifying strong sportsmanship throughout the tournament. They represented ISY with pride and left the court having gained valuable experience for future matches.
