Staying Active and Having Fun This Holiday Season

As we approach the much-anticipated December holiday, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for an incredible semester filled with exciting games, inspiring performances, and joyful moments. It has been a pleasure to see our ISY community shine through Athletics, Arts, and Activities.

As you enjoy your well-deserved break, I encourage you to take some time to relax, recharge, and spend quality moments with your loved ones. While holidays are often a time to rest, staying active and having fun can make your break even more rewarding. Here are a few simple tips to keep moving and stay engaged:

  1. Explore the Outdoors

Take advantage of the cooler weather and explore the beautiful surroundings. Whether it’s a walk, hike, or bike ride, getting outside is a wonderful way to stay active and enjoy nature.

  1. Try New Activities

The holidays are the perfect time to experiment with something new. How about trying yoga, learning a dance routine, or playing a new sport with your family or friends?

  1. Keep it Simple

You don’t need a gym to stay active—jump rope, play tag, or have a friendly soccer match in the backyard. Simple activities can bring the most joy.

  1. Balance Rest and Movement

While staying active is important, don’t forget to rest and recharge. Enjoy a good book, watch your favorite movie, or spend time journaling or reflecting on your goals for the new year.

  1. Stay Connected

Plan fun activities with family and friends, like a game of charades, a holiday scavenger hunt, or a group run. Staying connected with loved ones is a great way to nurture your mental well-being.

I wish each of you a joyful and peaceful holiday season. May it be filled with laughter, relaxation, and plenty of fun. I look forward to seeing you all again in the new year, ready for more adventures in Athletics, Arts, and Activities!

Happy Holidays!

Warm regards,

Rebekka Jensen (Ms. Bekka)
