Athletics & Activities Blog – November 6

Community Education Classes Begin Next Week

ISY is excited to offer a series of new Community Education classes to parents and staff, beginning Monday, November 9.  In order to help us all stay fit (mentally and physically) and also have a bit of virtual social interaction with our community members, there will be classes offered throughout the next six weeks in meditation, kickboxing, spinning, and HIIT (high intensity interval training).

Registration is now open on PowerSchool.  Just log into your parent account and look for the Community Education tab on the left sidebar menu.  If you do not know your PowerSchool username or password, please take a look at this handy guide on resetting your PowerSchool login. If that doesn’t work then please contact PowerSchool support at powerschool@isyedu.org.

The Community Education packet can be found HERE!  Keep in mind that more classes could be added over the next few weeks.

Session 2 ASAs Begin Monday

The second round of virtual ASAs will begin on Monday, November 9.  Families had the opportunity to register this week for over 60 offerings.  Due to the online format, most waitlisted activities were able to be expanded, meaning that more students than ever got into their first or second choices.

Parents and students will receive email confirmations, including a Zoom link to each activity, on Friday, November 6.  Confirmations and links are also available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal as well as in each child’s PowerSchool account.

If you have questions about your child’s activities, please feel free to reach out to me directly at lisom@isyedu.org

Community Education

Community Education

The philosophy of ISY is to be both a school and a community center for its families and faculty. By offering activities and courses for adults, we are aligning with ISY’s vision of developing lifelong learners. With that in mind, we are excited to announce a few opportunities for Community Education this fall.
