Rebekka Jensen –  Athletics, Arts, and Activities Coordinator

Welcome to a New School Year at ISY!

Hello ISY Community,

My name is Rebekka Jensen, but many of you may know me as Ms. Bekka. I’m thrilled to introduce myself as your new Athletics, Arts, and Activities Coordinator. For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of being a part of this vibrant community as a music teacher, and I’m excited to embark on this new journey while still teaching a high school music class. With a masters degree in Educational Leadership, I am eager to support our students, faculty, and families in making this year one of growth, creativity, and success.

Vision for the Year

At ISY, our vision is to “develop lifelong learners who will be a force for positive change in the world.” As the new coordinator, my primary goal is to align our athletics, arts, and activities with this vision. I’ll be working to streamline activities and communications, ensuring that our programs not only enrich our students’ school experience but also foster skills and values that resonate with our mission. Whether on the field, in the studio, or during after-school activities, I believe in the power of these experiences to shape our students into well-rounded individuals ready to contribute positively to society.

Upcoming Events and Highlights

As we kick off the school year, I’m excited to share that our After-School Activities (ASAs) and sporting events are about to begin. These programs offer students a fantastic opportunity to explore new interests, hone their skills, and build lasting friendships. I encourage everyone to participate and take full advantage of the diverse offerings. Keep an eye on this blog and other communication channels for updates and additional information on how to get involved.

Encouragement for Participation

Our extracurricular programs are an integral part of the ISY experience, and I urge all students, parents, and faculty to get involved. Participation not only enhances personal growth but also strengthens our sense of community. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, a budding artist, or simply curious about trying something new, there’s a place for you in our programs.

Communication and Collaboration

I’m committed to keeping everyone informed and engaged throughout the year. This blog will serve as a regular update on what’s happening in our athletics, arts, and activities programs. I also welcome your feedback, ideas, and collaboration as we work together to make this a memorable year for all.

As we start this new chapter together, I’m filled with excitement and optimism for what lies ahead. Let’s make this year one of creativity, achievement, and joy. I look forward to seeing the incredible things we will accomplish together.

Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to a fantastic school year!

Warm regards,

Rebekka Jensen (Ms. Bekka)
