Happy New Year, ISY Community,
Exciting Week Ahead: Wishing Our SEASAC Teams the Best of Luck!
Next week, we are sending off two of our talented ISY teams to compete in the SEASAC (South East Asia Student Activities Conference) tournaments. Our Touch Rugby and Basketball teams will be representing ISY in what promises to be an exciting and competitive week of sports.
These events provide our students with the opportunity to test their skills against some of the best athletes from international schools across the region. It’s always a wonderful experience that encourages not just athleticism but also teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
As they prepare for their respective tournaments, we want to wish all of our athletes the very best of luck. We know that they’ve put in a lot of hard work and dedication to get to this point, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Whether they’re on the field, the court, or cheering on their teammates, we know they will give their best effort and make ISY proud.
Go ISY!

Upcoming Games Next Week
Wednesday, February 5th: Varsity Basketball vs. ISM @ ISY
Sunday, February 2nd: Boys Softball vs. Pythons @ The American Club
Match Highlights: Last Friday Through This Week:
Middle School
High School
ISY vs ILBC: MS Boys Football
Final Score:
ISY 2 – ILBC 1
The ISY boys delivered a superb comeback in their match against ILBC. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the team returned to the pitch in the second half with renewed energy. They struck early, equalizing quickly, and from there, dominated the game. While ISY could have scored several more goals, the ILBC goalkeeper’s valiant efforts and a few unlucky shots hitting the uprights kept the scoreline close.
A special mention goes to Thurane, who gallantly volunteered to play in goal for the team. His bravery and quick reflexes earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match.
The win is a testament to the team’s resilience and commitment. Well done, Chinthes, and we look forward to more great performances ahead!
ISY vs Dolphins: HS Boys Softball
Final Score:
Dolphins forfeit, but scrimmage played
Although the Dolphins forfeited the official game, the ISY boys still took the field for a spirited scrimmage. A highlight of the day was Arjun, who pitched a complete game for the first time, showcasing his growth and confidence on the mound. Seung Ho also stepped up in a new role, playing outfield for the first time and impressing everyone with some amazing catches.
While our bats didn’t have the usual thump, the team’s spirit and adaptability shone through. It was a great opportunity for players to try new positions and contribute in different ways.
Great work, Chinthes – and we look forward to bringing the energy in our next game!
