Dear ISY Community,

Nurturing Student involved in Athletes/Arts/Activities: Growing the Whole Student

Students juggle school, sports, activities, and personal growth—a challenge that requires support from parents, coaches, and communities. Nurturing them goes beyond athletic performance; it’s about fostering well-rounded individuals ready to succeed in life.

  1. Academics First

Education is the foundation for life beyond sports. Emphasize academic success through flexible schedules and strong time-management skills.

  1. Mental Resilience

Help athletes develop a growth mindset, handle challenges, and manage stress. Access to mental health resources can be invaluable.

  1. Health and Nutrition

Encourage a balanced diet, proper rest, and injury prevention. Healthy habits fuel peak performance and reduce burnout.

  1. Teamwork and Leadership

Sports teach collaboration and leadership. Coaches should foster camaraderie and offer athletes chances to step into leadership roles.

  1. Balanced Identity

Support student-athletes in exploring interests outside of sports to build a well-rounded sense of self.

  1. Strong Support System

Create a safe, encouraging environment. Celebrate efforts—not just results—and inspire them to learn from every experience.

Supporting student-athletes isn’t just about sports; it’s about shaping confident individuals who can thrive in any arena. When we nurture their potential on and off the field, we invest in their future as champions in life.

Good Luck to Our SEASAC Badminton and Softball Teams!

This weekend marks an exciting opportunity for our talented athletes as they compete in the SEASAC Badminton and Softball tournaments!

To our badminton team—may you showcase your precision, agility, and relentless determination on the court. To our softball team—let your teamwork, strength, and passion shine bright on the field.

We’re incredibly proud of your hard work, commitment, and sportsmanship. Remember, you carry the spirit of our school community with you every step of the way.

Play your hearts out, support one another, and most importantly—enjoy the journey! The entire school is rooting for you. Go make us proud!

Good luck, teams!
