Greetings, ISY Community,

 

Celebrating Spirit Week and Parent-Teacher Conferences!

This week at ISY, school spirit was in full swing as students and staff embraced Spirit Week with enthusiasm and creativity! It’s been wonderful seeing our community come together to celebrate. We also loved connecting with many of you on Wednesday for Parent-Teacher Conferences—thank you for being part of these important conversations and supporting your students’ growth.

Last Chance to Join! High School Sports Sign-Ups for Basketball, Girls Touch Rugby, and Tennis

There’s still time to get involved in ISY athletics this season! We’re keeping signups open for High School Basketball (SEASAC and YAC), Girls Touch Rugby (SEASAC), and Tennis (SEASAC), and we’d love to see more students join these exciting teams.

Whether you’re an experienced player or new to the sport, there’s a place for everyone. Participating in athletics is a fantastic way to build skills, make friends, and show your school spirit!

To sign up, students can:

Exciting Opportunity: Friendly ES Volleyball Game Against ISM!

We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming friendly volleyball game between ISY and ISM, happening right here at ISY on Wednesday, November 6th, from 3:40 to 4:40 p.m. This game is open to all ES students, regardless of skill level, including beginners. It’s a fantastic chance for our young players to experience the excitement of a team sport, build friendships, and showcase their school spirit!

If your child would like to participate, please complete the registration form linked below. For students already signed up for an ASA at this time, simply indicate this on the form, and we’ll make sure they are excused from their ASA for the day.

      Final Score: ISY 2-1 YIS

      The ISY middle school boys’ volleyball team triumphed over YIS in an exciting home match, winning 2-1. ISY started strong, taking the first two sets with impressive serves, including a standout performance by Dennis. In the second set, the bench had a chance to step in, which resulted in a close set loss, but with the starters back on court, ISY clinched the third set for the win. The team demonstrated both skill and resilience, with each player contributing to the hard-earned victory. Excellent work, boys!

       

      ISY HS Girls Soccer Recap

      Final Score: ISY vs. ILBC – 0-0

      The ISY high school girls’ soccer team showcased improved teamwork and formation in a competitive home game against ILBC, resulting in a 0-0 draw. The team maintained strong positioning, with players understanding their roles and supporting each other on the field. Rachel, playing as sweeper, was instrumental in midfield, providing solid defensive coverage and lending support to the attack. This game highlighted the team’s progress and unity, reflecting a promising outlook for the rest of the season. Great job, girls!
