Greetings, ISY Community,

The much-anticipated Family Fun Fair is happening tomorrow, and it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day full of exciting activities while supporting the Chinthe Fund, which provides important resources to our community.
This event offers a variety of games, food, and entertainment for all ages. Personally, I’m most excited about the Ferris Wheel—it’s always a highlight of the day! I look forward to seeing many of you there, having fun and contributing to a great cause.
Please note that, due to the Fun Fair activities, some of the school facilities will be affected:

- Outdoor Playground: Closed all day
- Field: Closed all day
Don’t miss out on the fun, and make sure to come out and support the event! I can’t wait to see everyone there enjoying the festivities and helping raise funds for a good cause.
See you at the Family Fun Fair!
Recharge Your Body and Mind: Preparing for the Final Push Before the Holidays
As we approach the final stretch of the calendar year, it’s the perfect time to focus on recharging your body and mind. The weeks leading up to the holiday break can be filled with a whirlwind of activities, events, and final projects. Whether you’re involved in athletics, the arts, or other extracurriculars, it’s important to take care of yourself so you can finish strong and head into the holidays feeling energized and balanced.
Here are some tips to help you recharge and stay focused in the final weeks before the break:
- Prioritize Rest and Sleep
With so much going on as the year winds down, it’s easy to skimp on sleep. However, getting enough rest is crucial for your physical and mental well-being. A consistent sleep schedule improves focus, boosts your mood, and strengthens your immune system. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to give your body and mind the time they need to recover and stay sharp.
- Incorporate Movement into Your Routine
Staying active is essential for both your physical health and mental clarity. If you’re an athlete, continue your regular training, but also consider adding lighter activities like stretching, yoga, or walking. These can help prevent burnout, keep your muscles relaxed, and improve flexibility and mental focus. A short walk outside each day can also work wonders for reducing stress and giving you a fresh perspective.
- Fuel Your Body with Nutrient-Rich Foods
Your body needs fuel to keep going, especially during the busy weeks leading up to the break. Make sure to eat a balanced diet full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. These foods help maintain energy levels and keep your mind sharp. Hydration is just as important—make sure you’re drinking plenty of water throughout the day to stay alert and prevent fatigue.
- Practice Mindfulness and Stress Management
As we approach the end of the year, managing stress becomes crucial. Taking time to practice mindfulness can help you stay grounded and focused. Consider using techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or journaling to relieve stress and maintain a positive mindset. Even a few minutes each day can make a significant difference in how you feel and perform.
- Set Small, Achievable Goals
Rather than looking at the final weeks of the calendar year as one big, overwhelming task, break things down into smaller goals. Whether it’s completing a project, improving a skill, or attending a certain number of practices, setting small goals can give you a sense of accomplishment and motivation. Celebrate your progress along the way—it will keep you focused and energized as you head toward the holiday break.
- Take Breaks and Rest
It’s easy to get caught up in the rush, but remember to take breaks. Whether it’s stepping away from a homework session or taking a moment to relax during practice, short breaks can help recharge your focus and prevent mental fatigue. Allowing yourself time to pause and refresh will ultimately make you more productive and improve your performance.
With just a few weeks left before the holiday break, taking the time to recharge your body and mind is essential. Focus on balancing activity with rest, staying hydrated and nourished, and managing your stress. This way, you’ll finish the year strong and feel ready for the well-deserved break ahead.
We wish you all the best in these final weeks of the year! Stay energized, stay focused, and take care of yourselves—your hard work will pay off!
