ISY Gym/Fitness Room Update

The ISY gymnasium is open 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM daily.  It is open to the ISY community to use outside of school hours and when it is not needed for school activities / events.  It should be noted the gym is not supervised unless there is a school activity / event.  Therefore, it is used at the individual’s own risk.  There must be a responsible adult available for use by anyone younger than grade 6.

The fitness room is still available 24-hours/day for HS students and the ISY parent community.  MS students are permitted only when accompanied by an adult.  ES students are not permitted in the fitness room at any time.

Session 1 & 2 ASA Update

Session 1 ASAs will come to an end on Friday, November 8th.  Session 2 will begin on Monday, November 25.  A new ASA packet will be sent to the community during the break between sessions.  All sign-ups will take place through Power School again for Session 2.  I will continue to update the community as the time approaches to sign up for the next series of classes.

Community Education: Session 2 Friday Afternoon Yoga

The next session of Friday Afternoon Yoga will begin on November 8th.  Cost is $10/session for four sessions, paid at the time of the first class.  We need to have at least 7 participants in order for the yoga class to take place, so please sign up now at Friday Yoga Session 2.

ES Sports Update

Last week we had three teams travel to Thalun International School.  We learned about the differences between futsal and soccer.  It was a lot of fun.  We also started our official ISY team basketball practices on Saturday.  We are looking forward to an excellent season with games continuing next week!
This week, ISY Soccer Grades 3-5 will be hosting two teams from ILBC starting at 3 pm on Wednesday. Please come out and support our teams.

Community Education

The philosophy of ISY is to be both a school and a community center for its families and faculty. By offering activities and courses for adults, we are aligning with ISY’s vision of developing lifelong learners. With that in mind, we are excited to announce a few opportunities for Community Education this fall.
