MS Boys Soccer Hosts LFIR
After traveling to LFIR the previous week and coming home with a loss, the grade 6-8 boys Power School soccer team hosted LFIR this week and turned the tables. The boys played a great game and won 3-1 on their home turf. Great work boys!
MS Boys & Girls B & C Basketball @ ISM
Due the large size of our basketball teams this year, ISY has been working to add more B & C team games to the schedule. With that initiative in mind, MS Boys and Girls B teams and the Boys C team traveled to ISM on Thursday for three games. ISY swept the night with the following scores:
Girls B – Win 20-12
Boys B – Win 26-25
Boys C – Win 26-18
Elementary School Sports from Ms. Kalu
ES Sports had a busy and fun-filled week. ES Soccer hosted Network International School on Wednesday and Yangon Academy on Friday before traveling to ISM to play in an invitational tournament with ISM, the French School, and the American International School Mandalay on Saturday. ES soccer continues to learn about sportsmanship and teamwork while continuing to win all of their games. ES Soccer G1-4 will be traveling to the French School on Wednesday, Oct. 9 for two matches.
ES Basketball traveled to the British School Yangon for a round-robin style afternoon of games. Two teams from ISY joined three teams from BSY. ISY had a great showing, with an overall record of 5-0-1 for the six games. Basketball games will continue in November.
If you are interested in joining the ES basketball team, please contact Coach Kalu (kalu@isyedu.org) to sign up.
