Elementary Update – November 22nd
Sandy Sheppard, Elementary School Principal
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent/Teacher conferences. I am sure you found the opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers valuable. The next report card goes home on the 7th of February. Please remember you do not have to wait for conferences to speak to a teacher about your child’s progress. You can make appointments via the Elementary School office. Upcoming we have concerts, sports fun and holiday cheer.
Have a great weekend.
Ms Sandy Sheppard
Grade 5 students sharing:
This week Grade 5 students shared the board games they created featuring Kelso’s Choices with Grade 2 students. Fun was had by all!
The use of smart watches by students at school is very distracting in the classroom. These types of watches along with mobile phones should be kept in school bags. Please also note that we cannot be held responsibility for any lost items should you choose to have your child bring such a device to school.
The next Parent Association General Meeting will be at 7pm on Wednesday, December 4th in the Cafeteria.
The concert will be on the 11th of December. This year’s theme will be Myanmar poems set to music and performed by Grades 1-5.
Our visiting Author, Mary Coulson, will be holding a writing workshop on Thursday 5th December at 6pm in the Learning Commons for all students and parents. Come along and learn how to improve your writing skills. Please email the Library, at firstname.lastname@example.org and let them know you’re coming.
Come along and join the fun on Saturday, December 7th. Students raising money for the United World Schools Project.
