ISY Service Learning
Introducing the Service Learning Blog Correspondents
We are a passionate group of secondary school students ready to make an imprint on service learning at ISY! We will be posting news, interviews, photos, and anything related to service learning at ISY.
Our main goal for this year is to increase awareness and encourage more Chinthes to join our service learning activities. Let’s all strive to be compassionate global citizens!
Let’s get to know our correspondents a bit better:
True, Grade 7
My name is True, and I’m in grade 7. I love reading and watching movies. My strong point is writing and I’d like to make a difference however I can. Writing for the Blog will improve my skills while helping make a positive impact in other people’s lives. I can help with anything, from writing articles to interviewing people. I like talking to people too. I hope to hone my speaking, leadership and writing skills.
Lin, Grade 7
I’m Lin. I’m in 7th grade and I love writing stories, crocheting and journaling. I believe that by developing my writing skills, I can improve my communication skills and also play a role in making a difference in the ISY community. I am looking forward to writing reports and interviewing people. I hope the Blog reaches its goal of advocating for ISY’s service learning projects.
Eaindray, Grade 9
My name is Eaindray, and I’m a freshman this year. I absolutely love to read and write! Being an active member of the Blog means so much to me because I have the opportunity to be of service to my community. This year, I hope that the Blog will be read eagerly by students, teachers and parents.
Claire, Grade 10
I’m Claire from grade 10 and my main role in the team is to take pictures for the Blog. I want to use this opportunity as a correspondent to do something I enjoy while also helping the community. I hope that over the school year, the Blog will be successful in promoting lesser known service learning groups and inspiring more students to get involved.
Thin Ei Zin, Grade 10
I’m Thin Ei Zin from grade 10 and I’m a photographer for the Blog. I volunteered to be part of this team because I want to learn more about the media, engage with service learning groups and help out in the community. I hope our Blog is a useful resource for everyone in the ISY community.
Rachel, Grade 11
I’m Rachel from grade 11. My role on this team is the photographer. I decided to take this position since I enjoy taking pictures, and I want to help raise awareness of the various service learning groups at ISY. Over the school year, I hope our small group can produce quality articles and photos for the ISY community.
Ki Ki, Grade 11
Hi! I’m Ki Ki and I am currently a junior. As a member of this amazing team, I have several roles, but my main focus is on writing for the Blog. Whether it is crafting articles or brainstorming content, I love sharing stories and bringing ideas to life. I joined this team because I enjoy the creative and collaborative process of writing. I am also looking forward to contributing to the development of service learning at ISY.
We are planning to welcome student correspondents from the elementary school. Stay tuned for the latest service learning news!
