Dear Parents,

Quarter 1 report cards and MAP reports have been made live on PowerSchool. Please make sure to access your child’s report card and MAP information on Power school.  If you would like help accessing your child’s report card, the secondary school’s office staff are available to assist you.

Architect Visit
This week we are fortunate to have the Architect Alan Higgs with us for three days. During this time he will be meeting with the administration and students and would also like to meet with parents to update us on the progress of the planning of a new building.
In order to give as many parents as possible the opportunity to meet with him and to accommodate his busy schedule we have decided to use the existing parent meeting time this week given by the counselors entitled ‘Raising Children in a Stress-free World’ and change it to the Architect’s Meeting. We will reschedule the counselors’ meeting and let you know the new date later this week.  To confirm, the Architect Meeting time will be Tuesday, Nov 5th, 5:30 PM in the Cafeteria. This has also been changed on the main calendar. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month: The Shwe Yaung Hnin Si Cancer Foundation of Myanmar would like to invite you to a workshop on Breast Cancer Awareness to be held in our school on November 7th at 3:00PM. Besides learning facts and ways to prevent breast cancer, you will also learn how to do a self examination. Additionally, you will hear heartfelt personal stories told by courageous women who have survived breast cancer, including our own elementary school teacher, Judy Fincham.

Second-Hand Items needed: On November 16, 2019, the High School STUCO team will be running a second-hand booth at the Fun Fair. If you are interested in donating items such as clothes, kitchen items, accessories, books please bring the items to the 3rd floor, SAS Building in Daw Winsome’s classroom or leave the items on the steps marked donated for Fun Fair and it will deliver to Daw Winsome’s room by the end of the school day.
