Dear Parents,

Thank you for all your support in joining us for our Annual Fun Fair, which is student-organized. It was once again a big success. It was great to see our community gather together in support of student service-learning organizations. Thank you for helping make it a fun-filled evening.

This week the secondary school hosted Parent-Teacher Conferences in a new format. Thank you for being courageous and trusting that the new process had the potential to be a huge success. Over the eight hours available to conference, the SAS gym was hopping with parents and teachers collaborating and discussing student progress and growth. In order to better understand the parent perspective on the conference format, please take a moment to complete the quick bit survey. It will only take a few minutes.

This weekend the campus will be busy with ISY High School Basketball games. In addition, many of our students will be participating in YAC football. Please remember parent cheering is welcome.

ISY Homecoming HS dance- In celebration of our athletes and all the accomplishments that have occurred in the first half of the school year, the HS STUCO will be hosting a dance on the ISY campus from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please know that all school rules apply for the dance. Once students enter the dance they are required to remain at the dance until 8:00 PM. Students will not be able to leave early or roam the campus, unless a parent comes to the SAS building on the fourth floor to pick them up.

 Grade 10 IB Information Parent Evening will be on Tuesday at 5:00 PM. All grade 10 students and parents need to attend, as the decision make on Tuesday will impact your child’s next two academic years. At this event, you will be able to ask questions about the program and understand how it may impact university opportunities.

Our visiting Author, Mary Coulson, will be holding a writing workshop on Thursday 5th December at 6pm in the Learning Commons for all students and parents. Come along and learn how to improve your writing skills.  Please email the Library, at library@isyedu.org and let them know you’re coming

 Thursday and Friday will be school holidays. Enjoy the four-day weekend. We look forward to seeing you upon our return.
