An Exhibition of Learning at ISY

March 21, 2025
On Wednesday, our Grade 10 World Studies students exhibited their research on a topic of interest to them.
This exhibition showcased not just their research, but their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and make meaningful connections between their learning and the world around them. Their confidence and depth of understanding were evident—not just in their presentations, but in the way they engaged in thoughtful discussions without relying on notes.
As they move forward to develop their research into academic papers, they will continue to refine these essential skills in their English classes.
At ISY, we believe that true learning happens when students see the relevance of their studies, make connections across subjects, and explore topics that matter to them. The Grade 10 presentations were a powerful reminder of this, and we look forward to seeing how their ideas continue to grow.

Thingyan Update
We wanted to share an update regarding Thingyan celebrations at school this year. The township office has informed us that all Thingyan celebrations must take place during the official holiday period. Since this coincides with our school break, we will not be able to hold any activities at school this year.
Football Pitch Update
Our football pitch will undergo important resurfacing work and will be unavailable for the next four weeks starting on Tuesday, March 25. This maintenance is essential to ensure the turf remains in top condition. The work needs to be completed before the rainy season begins.
Artificial turf needs to be replaced approximately every 9 years, and this work will help maintain a high-quality playing surface for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
