It was a great honor to address our Class of 2025 at their graduation ceremony on Tuesday evening.
This is a truly special group of young people. They’ve shown a deep sense of connection, inclusivity, and care for one another, and it’s that humanity that will serve them well in the future.
While their academic achievements show intelligence, the world they are entering demands something more—wisdom. Intelligence can now be matched, even surpassed, by machines. But wisdom—earned by the Class of 2025 through their experience in engaging with the world around them and connecting with people—is still uniquely human. The Class of 2025’s capacity to care, to connect, and to make thoughtful, ethical decisions makes them more than intelligent. It makes them wise.
This wisdom, nurtured during their time at ISY, is what will truly set them apart. It’s what will allow them to lead, to serve, and to shape a future that is more compassionate and inclusive. I couldn’t be prouder of who they are and who they are becoming.

- Athletics & Activities Awards. Student Event from 4:30pm
- Student Karaoke Night. Student Event from 5:30pm (see below)
Wednesday:
- High School Student Council Elections. Student Event.
- Quarter 4 / Semester 2 Report Cards live on Powerschool
- Secondary School Music Performance and Book Sale. Parent and Student Event from 5:30pm (Performing students to arrive at 4:30pm)
Thursday:
- Grade 11 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition. Student Event.
- Grade 9 and 10 Design Technology Exhibition. Student Event.
- High School Awards Assembly (with Grade 8). Student Event from 2:30pm. Award winners’ families will be notified on Monday.
Friday:
- Chinthe Communities Olympiad & Last Day of School (11:30am dismissal). Student Event.
