Jonathan O’Sullivan –  Athletics and Activities Coordinator

Dear Chinthes,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you back to ISY and into 2024!

Although we have not had any athletics this week an athlete’s work is never done so we currently have many teams preparing for upcoming events, competitions and Yangon Athletic Conference games. Please take note of the upcoming events in the Upcoming Events and Practices section.

ISY is hosting its second invitational swim meet on January 19. The swim meet starts at 4:00 PM and will run to 7:00 PM. Please continue reading below in the Swim Team section for more information.

After school activities will start on January 29. This means that there will be information coming out soon about signups and the activities themselves. Please review the After School Activities section for more information on this.

Family Sports Day is on Saturday and I encourage all our community members to come along to ISY from 8:30-10:30 AM to enjoy a wide range of sports activities. There will be a 15,000 MMK entry fee but all activities after that will be free. This will be a great opportunity to come and try some different sports or activities out.

There will be swim trials for any student that is not currently in the swim team but thinks that they could be. Please read the Swim Team section below to find out more information on this.

    ISY Sports Broadcasting

Last year a sports broadcasting club was started at ISY. They were able to cover some of our high school basketball games with great success. They produced a very professionally polished product.
This year they will cover our high school athletics for the whole year. If you are interested in this please follow the link below and this will lead you to the group’s Youtube page.
