    SEASAC Music Festival

    SEASAC Music Festival

The purpose of this music festival is to bring together, extend and enrich the musical experience of highly motivated, like-minded musicians through working with professional music practitioners in creating a large ensemble performance. The spirit of this festival will be one of collaboration and artistry, fostering and developing a culture of music celebration within the SEASAC Community.
Here is a report on the first day by Ms. Bekka.
“Today was a full day for our group. With bright eyes and excitement everyone was ready at 5:00am to board the plane. After an uneventful flight we arrived here in Singapore ready to find out what the journey would lead to. Our gracious hosts made sure we were fed and comfortable before we dove into our first 2 hour rehearsal. During the rehearsals students worked with talented directors. Laughter and hard work were at the center of their work. I was proud of all the students’ attention and efforts. With the great start we had today, the concert on Saturday is going to be amazing!”
We wish our students best of luck for the rest of the trip.

    High School Softball

    High School Athletics

The ISY boys softball team have been playing in the Yangon International Softball League (YISL) since November. Last weekend the finals were held. For the YISL season the ISY Boys came in third place. In the tournament (playoffs), they beat the second place team in order to advance to the championship.
Beating the second place team was a huge win for the Chinthes, as they won in the final inning by only a few runs. The team they played had their moments and had some big plays, however, it was the consistency of the boys that won the game in the end.
They then put up a good fight against the Tigers in the final, but fell short. The Tigers have been the benchmark team for the whole season. The boys should be proud of their efforts.
Calvin (grade 12) and Ty (grade 9) were recognized by the league as being the MVP’s for the team.

    After School Activities

Parents will be able to check their child(ren)’s ASA schedule on PowerSchool. They will also be able to check where and when the ASAs will be and who is the ASA supervisor. This information will be automatically updated as changes are made to the students’ ASA schedules.

The times for ASAs are as follows:

    Elementary school ASA 2:20 – 3:05 PM
Middle and high school ASA 2:40-3:25 PM
