One of ISY’s after school activities is a group called Canvas who meet up every week and engage in extra-curricular art activities led by the Secondary Art teacher – Mr. Nichols. 

It has a range of students from the Middle and High School.  The group decided they wanted to contribute to how the school looked in some way and came up with the idea of painting a mural.  

The Secondary art room has a wonderful view of the Shwedagon which is Yangon’s main pagoda.  This view inspired them to create a mural on the third floor of the SAS building near the art rooms.  This video is a time lapse video of the work and finished product.
