We wish you all a very happy holiday! Thank you for your support in 2023. We are looking forward to a busy and fun 2024, starting with Chinthe Expeditions and our student production of ‘Into the Woods.’

ISY Learner Attributes

Today in Town Hall we recognised some students for their academic achievement up to this point in the year. We also recognised students for their compassion, critical thinking, creativity, courage, communication, collaboration, and reflection. These are the ISY Learner Attributes that make our school and our students special.

Chinthe Expeditions Update

Our Grade 10, 11, and 12 students will be going on our first Chinthe Expedition to Chiang Mai straight after the winter break. They will leave on Monday, January 8 and return on Friday, January 12.

Earlier this week, our Grade 10, 11, and 12 parents will receive their child’s finalized itinerary and a summary of all expedition details. We have also met with all Grade 10, 11, and 12 students this week to go over expectations and what they will need to pack.

Other grade levels will receive this information after the winter break

In the meantime, you can refer to the information you received with the Parent Information and Authorisation Request Form that parents have already signed. And if you have any questions about anything to do with your child’s grade level Chinthe Expedition, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Simpson or the Secondary School Office.

All of this year’s Chinthe Expeditions will be facilitated by the Traidhos Visiting Schools Program (VSP) in Chiang Mai. We partnered with VSP before the pandemic in providing Week Without Walls experiences for our students. We are very pleased to be working with them again.

VSP will work with ISY teachers to create, support, and supervise rich service, cultural, and adventure experiences for our students. Please click on the following links to get a sense of the fantastic location and facilities that we have access to in partnership with VSP:
