Tonight is opening night! If you cannot get along to tonight to ‘Into the Woods,’ be sure to come along on Saturday night. The cast and crew gave our Elementary School students a sneak peek at the show yesterday and the full performance promises to be wonderful! A lot of work goes into a show like this and we really appreciate our community’s support in helping the next two nights very special for our student performers.

Grade 7 Chinthe Expedition

As I write this, our Grade 7 students are kayaking in Chiang Mai. They return this evening after a fun and rewarding week away on their Chinthe Expedition. Their activity itinerary was packed with activities aligned with our strategic themes of Belonging, Internationalism, Sustainability (and Service), and Learning. Chinthe Expeditions Update

 Grades 6, 8, and 9:

Last week, we meet with our Grade 6, 8, and 9 students. We explained to them their activity itinerary and travel information. This information was sent to parents via an email from the Secondary School Office on Monday. Please review this information with your child. It will include the full travel and activities itinerary and important information about what to pack. Please remember to pack a warm jacket and pants as it gets a little cold at this time of year in Chiang Mai.

All of this year’s Chinthe Expeditions will be facilitated by the Traidhos Visiting Schools Program (VSP) in Chiang Mai. We partnered with VSP before the pandemic in providing Week Without Walls experiences for our students. We are very pleased to be working with them again.

Semester 1 (Quarter 2) Report Cards

Your child’s Semester 1 (Quarter 2) Report is now available on PowerSchool. The purpose of this report is to provide an indication of your child’s academic achievement at this point in time. 

Please take the time to review this report together with your child. If you have any questions relating to your child’s reports, please email your child’s teacher(s) for clarification. If you have any questions relating to the reporting process in general, you can contact Mr. Simpson on msimpson@isyedu.org.

Accessing your child’s Semester 1 Report Card:

• Once you log in, you will see your child’s name on the left-hand side top of the screen along with the information of the student schedule. 
• Click on your child’s name 
• Click on the “Document” icon on the left side of the screen
• Student Documents box will appear on the screen
• Click on the file name “S1 Report Card 23-24”

FUNDRAISING GALA

The 5th Annual ISY Fundraising Gala is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the PARKROYAL Hotel Yangon and will be in their Yadanar Ballroom starting from 6:00 pm. The theme will be The Garden of Hope. The Gala supports and links to ISY’s strategic theme of Sustainability.
