Last night was the opening of the ISY IB Diploma Art Exhibition. The work from this special community of artists is exceptional and I urge you to visit the Multi-Purpose Room this week any day next week between 8am and 3:30pm to see it for yourself.
Parent Student Teacher Conferences
Parent Student Teacher Conferences will be from 8:30am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 23 in the ISY Gym for grades 6 to 12. There will be no classes that day and students are strongly encouraged to attend the conferences with their parents.
Today instructions were emailed to parents to sign up for Parent Student Teacher Conferences on Powerschool. You will be able to sign up for conferences up until 1 until 10:00am on Monday, April 22. You will then receive an email from our School Office that Monday afternoon confirming your conference schedule.
These conferences will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s Quarter 3 Progress Report and general progress with their teachers. The primary purpose for the Quarter 3 Progress Report is to communicate student achievement and executive functioning skills that support learning at this point in the year. The Quarter 3 Progress Report is partnered with the Quarter 3 Parent Student Teacher Conference. The report provides a summary of data to support conversations with teachers to develop a common understanding of your child’s academic progress and how this is being supported.
Your child’s Quarter 3 Report will be available on Powerschool from 2:30pm next Friday, April 5.

- University Admissions – Navigating Entry Requirements for Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong: ISY Library (below the Multi-Purpose Room on Floor 1) at 6pm (see below for details)
Friday :
- Quarter 3 Report Cards live on Powerschool from 2:30pm
- Student Thingyan Celebration. At the end of the day, the students will take part in a water-throwing event. This annual event is always a fun time and the students are always excited to take part. Thank you to our Parent Association (PA) for their part in organizing and funding the event. The PA also will be sharing treats with the students during their lunch break. Regular dismissal.

On Wednesday, April 3, at 6:00 pm in the Library (Floor 1), our ISY High School Counselor will present on decoding the admission processes for international students in Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, providing valuable insights into application requirements, visa procedures, and strategies for successful enrollment.
