At the end of our second week of the academic year, we feel that our students are getting into the swing of things online.

It feels good to have finished our first week online. There is a real positive energy around campus. That energy comes through online from our students and our teachers are building on that as they implement our planning and adapt it to meet our students needs and keep them engaged.

In our compassionate community, children, parents and teachers are able to receive and provide feedback and advice from each other knowing that the feedback and advice is given with the positive intention of helping each other.

Mr. Simpson asks the questions; ‘What do we need to do? Why do we need to do it? How can we do it?

The last day of the school year is here, it certainly has been an interesting few months. I would like to thank you all for your support during virtual learning.

I hope the students enjoyed the assembly this week, it was a lot of fun. It was great to still be able to farewell our teachers and leaving students.

Next week will be our last full week of school. There will be slides up until Thursday. On Friday the 5th of June there will be no slides, the teams will have conferencing type activities planned, they will communicate these to you. Report cards will go home on Thursday the 4th of June.

Thank you to all those who attended the parent meeting last night hosted by Dr Hedger. There is a lot of planning going on at the moment and as mentioned later in June you will be able to view more information on what the new school year might look like.

Another week of virtual learning fun and experiences is over. We love keeping the learning connections with our students. Our teachers are working very hard to ensure that your children have access to the best learning virtually that we can possibly give them.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey this week. The feedback you provide is so important to us. An email will be sent out soon that will summarize the feedback given.

I hope everyone received their child/ren progress reports and that you had the opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher. This was a wonderful opportunity to remain connected.

Christmas time is here!! I’m sure you’re all very excited to be celebrating the festive season. I know you will agree that your children along with our wonderful teaching staff deserve a well-earned break – they have been superstars this year to date.

The holiday season is upon us here at ISY and next week we have many festive celebrations happening. The big event is our annual Winter Concert, we hope to see you all there. See you tomorrow at the sports-a-thon.
